  2. User management, marketing, and market research, including the distribution of communications, newsletters, and information about G-20 Group campaigns, products, and services that may be of interest to the User, based on the consent provided, an existing contractual relationship, or, where applicable, G-20 Group’s legitimate interest in keeping Users informed within the context of the relationship

The legal basis for this processing includes (a) the consent provided by the data subject upon registration, and (b) G-20 Group’s legitimate interest in producing and disseminating audiovisual materials for brand promotion and image campaigns

  5. handling and responding to data subject rights requests

G-20 Group generally processes personal data such as name, gender, address, email address, and telephone number that the User voluntarily and actively provides. This also applies when the User participates in G-20 Group events, whether online or in person. In addition, G-20 Group’s web server https://www.g20.group/ automatically collects certain technical information about the User’s visit, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring website, pages accessed, date, and duration of the visit.

For event registration, participation, and execution, G-20 Group may also incidentally process images and/or voice captured in photographs or video recordings made during the event. G-20 Group will limit such processing of images and/or voice to the greatest extent possible during the recording, editing, and dissemination of event materials.

Legal Basis for Data Processing

By processing personal data in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy, the G-20 Group is able to enhance the quality of its products and services. Depending on the specific purpose of the processing, the legal basis for handling the User’s personal data will be one of the following:

  1. the necessity to take steps prior to entering into, or to perform, a contract with the User for the requested products or services, or to fulfil related contractual obligations

  2. the User’s consent

  3. the legitimate interests of the G-20 Group

  4. managing registration, participation, and execution of corporate events organized by G-20 Group. Event execution may incidentally involve processing images (general footage) and/or voice (ambient audio) captured in photographs or videos taken during the event, as well as their editing and subsequent publication in online and offline media, the corporate intranet, and G-20 Group social media profiles. The legal basis for this processing includes (a) the consent provided by the data subject upon registration, and (b) G-20 Group’s legitimate interest in producing and disseminating audiovisual materials for brand promotion and image campaigns

Examples of the G-20 Group’s “legitimate interests” referenced above include:

  2. exercising the rights of the G-20 Group, including the freedom to conduct business and the right to property

  3. providing products and services while ensuring a consistently high standard of quality across the G-20 Group, and maintaining the satisfaction of customers, employees, and other stakeholders

  4. fulfilling accountability and regulatory obligations

In all such cases, these interests are balanced against, and are not outweighed by, the User’s privacy interests.

International Transfers of Personal Data

The User authorizes the G-20 Group to transfer personal data to employees, agents, or other third parties, whether located within or outside the User’s country of residence, for the purpose of providing services and for the other purposes outlined in this Data Privacy Policy. Individuals who authorize the G-20 Group to access their personal data, as described in this Policy, will be informed of the associated data protection and security considerations.
‍
When personal data is transferred to countries outside the User’s jurisdiction, the G-20 Group ensures an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable legal requirements, for example by implementing EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally recognized safeguards.
‍
The G-20 Group also reserves the right to disclose personal data to regulatory or supervisory authorities, and, as provided in this Data Privacy Policy, to analysis service providers. Any such disclosures will always be made in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or official requests.

Social Media Buttons

The website of G-20 Group incorporates functions (plugins) provided by thirdparty services or social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn). These plugins allow Users to share content on the respective social networks. By default, the interfaces are deactivated when the website is first accessed, meaning no personal data is transmitted to thirdparty providers unless the User actively enables the interfaces. Once activated, the plugins automatically transmit data - including personal data - to the relevant thirdparty providers. If the User is logged into the corresponding social network at the time of visiting the website, the provider may link the visit to the User’s account. G-20 Group has no control over this process.

Details regarding the purpose, scope, further processing, and use of personal data by these thirdparty providers can be found in the privacy policies of the respective social networks. These policies also provide information on Users’ rights and available privacy settings.
